Set on a hilltop in Sarnadas near Alte, this is a place for complete solitude & total relaxation, yet only 30km from the Algarve coast.

The windmill has a small cooking and living room area with seating for two. A small spiral staircase leads to the one double bedroom which has views of the distant sea and the Algarve mountains of Monchique.
An adjacent building houses another sitting room and a bathroom with shower/wc.
A terrace with sun loungers, parasols & BBQ is a perfect place for soaking up the sun and silence broken only by birdsong.

Please note  The windmill has no electricity. Appliances run on gas, and lighting is by low energy lanterns and oil lamps. Water has to be pumped by hand. The location is isolated and not for the faint hearted, but ideal for the seriously laid back.

The access makes a 4 wheel drive vehicle advisable.
